MEGGITT POLYMER SOLUTIONS OBTAINS AIRBUS SUPPLIER APPROVAL; BEGINS SHIPMENT OF PRODUCTS FOR THE A330 AND A340 AIRCRAFT
MCMINNVILLE, Ore., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Meggitt Polymer Solutions
(MPS), a Meggitt group company, announced today that it
has received supplier approval from Airbus and has commenced shipment of
products for the A330 and A340 aircraft. This approval will support contracts
at GKN-Alabama, Goodrich Aerospace and future Airbus and Airbus First Tier
supplier contracts.
Initial shipment of products commenced in late November. MPS is initially
providing GKN with more than 100 different aerospace seals used on the wing
and numerous seals to Goodrich Aerospace.
Meggitt Polymer Solutions based in Loughborough UK, and McMinnville, OR, designs and
manufactures aerodynamic seals, decorative interior seals, window seals,
fire-seals and extruded silicone and calendered sheet products for the
commercial and military aerospace industries.
